Mardi Gras

So many parades - such little time!
Fort Walton Beach / Destin
The Fort Walton Beach/Okaloosa Island Mardi Gras parade will be held on February 7, 2009. The festival includes a fun-filled celebration at the Okaloosa Island Boardwalk and an Island Parade featuring over 70 floats. The parade starts at 11 am on Santa Rosa Blvd. Festival at the boardwalk with run from noon-5 pm Visit Mardi Gras by the Sea or call 850-244-8191 for more information.

Panama City Beach / Beaches of South Walton

The Krewe of St. Andrews Mardi Gras Festival will be held February 20th and 21st. The main parade is on Saturday, February 21st beginning at 3:00 pm in downtown St. Andrews. There will also be a two day Festival at the Oak’s By the Bay Park with food/drink vendors, kid rides, live music and great bands performing on both days. Navarre Beach

Navarre Beach Mardi Gras Parade will take place on Saturday, February 21st at 1 P.M. This year’s theme, “Rockin’ Through the Decades,” will feature antique automobiles, marching bands, floats, and of course, Mardi Gras beads. The parade route will start on the east end of White Sands Boulevard on the beach and end at Arkansas Street with a post parade party and award ceremony in the parking lot behind Cocodries Restaurant. Perdido Key / Alabama Gulf Coast
The Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Mardi parades will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2009. The parade in Gulf Shores begins at 10:00 am and will travel from the bottom of Intercostal Canal Bridge to Main Beach Gulf Shores. The parade in Orange Beach begins at 1:00 pm and will travel from Ruby Tuesdays on Perdido Beach Blvd to Hwy 161.
